À propos de moi

At the intersection of art, technology, and media studies, I research the various regimes of still and moving images in the twentieth century, focusing on experimental cinema, television, and the digital image. My current work explores the emergence of computer technology and the digital turn in postwar visual art.
I have been a visiting scholar at Columbia University and have held fellowships at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York) and the Smithsonian American Art Museum (Washington D.C.), and I was a postdoctoral researcher at Ca' Foscari University (Venice).  I have been awarded grants from institutions such as the Institut National d'Histoire de l'Art (Paris), the Terra Foundation for American Art, and the Charles Babbage Institute (University of Minnesota, Minneapolis).
